I recently completed and delivered an original watercolor commissioned painting of a “Brook Trout” to a client. When my client saw it, he said he loved it! That was great to hear. It was a new experience for me to paint a fish; and since I paint wildlife and nature, this subject can now be added to my repertoire. I really enjoyed painting this beautifully bronze colored, spotted fish, and creating an underwater composition for it’s background.

I saw something yesterday that inspired me to share what’s going on in my studio. So, here goes…. It’s Monday again. Time to get busy matting my prints which I printed yesterday, and let dry for 24 hrs. They actually seem pretty dry shortly after printing, but I’m following printer’s instructions to be on the safe side. I’m using a Canon Pro-10 printer with Lucia pigment ink tanks, which produces beautiful colors. Wonderful inspirations found at the Peony Garden in Ann Arbor on a warm, sunny, afternoon in June at Nichols Arboretum. It had been too long since we last visited. Must make this an annual trip!
