Kathryn is an artist and fine art painter; she lives in Ypsilanti, MI. She finds her inspiration in nature’s beauty, colors, and backyard wildlife. Her artwork explores these subjects during ordinary, yet extraordinary moments. She enjoys painting with watercolor and acrylic paints.
At the heart of her watercolor paintings is a desire to capture and communicate nature’s beauty and essence. Her focus is on creating realistic subjects with impressionistic backgrounds. She enjoys filling her paintings with luminous colors, light, and interesting compositions.
The focus of her acrylics work is small mini-paintings on canvas. Her subjects are birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, and landscapes. These paintings are colorful, and sometimes whimsical. She likes to do a series of mini-canvas paintings, where each one is slightly different.
Kathryn is a member of the Ann Arbor Women Artists, and Brighton Art Guild. Her art work has been exhibited locally at juried and non-juried exhibits.
She is available for commissioned artwork; if interested, contact her to discuss.
